About the Genealogist
My name is Rachel Carter and I hold a BA in Family History-Genealogy from Brigham Young University with a minor in Family Life. My research emphasis is the United States, including the American North, Midwest, and South. I have also researched in other areas such as England and Denmark. I recently completed internships with the Family History Guide (http://thefhguide.com) and with the LDS Church History Library. During my time as a student at BYU, I worked in the Center for Family History and Genealogy as a research assistant, working on the Nauvoo Community Project and the University of Virginia Nauvoo Polygamy project.
